After clarifying the performance parameters, designers need to consider the actual dimensions of the spindle (shaft diameter, length, bearing spacing) and the type of bearings (ball or cylindrical rollers), the number of rows, the driving method (belt, gear, motor built-in, etc.), and the lubrication method (grease, oil and gas, oil mist, spray, etc.), which will determine the final structural form.


Axial load: For applications with high axial forces, thrust bearings or thrust angular contact ball bearings are ideal choices. Among them, thrust self-aligning roller bearings and unidirectional thrust angular contact ball bearings can simultaneously withstand axial and radial loads, while other thrust bearings are limited to bearing axial forces.


Radial load: Radial bearings such as crossed roller bearings are mainly responsible for absorbing radial forces. These bearings have a smaller nominal contact angle and are designed specifically for radial loads.


The introduction of cross roller bearings has greatly expanded the possibilities of precision mechanical design. Whether it is high-end CNC machine tools, robot joints, or aerospace instruments, their high rigidity and high precision characteristics are indispensable.
